A LITTLE GUIDANCE

Know where to start.

A few things to know before you explore.

What can I find in a state navigator?

Available state navigators help you explore legal resources, court information, forms, procedures, and guidance specific to that state. Content and coverage vary by navigator; check the original official source before relying on it.

What do the rollout statuses mean?

Available means a state navigator is linked and ready to open. In progress means its navigator is being prepared. Planned means it is listed for future expansion. These are project rollout statuses, not a measure of legal-service availability in a state.

My state's navigator isn't available. What next?

You can still seek help through your state judiciary's official website, your local court's self-help center, or a local legal aid organization. This directory does not determine eligibility or guarantee services. Planned navigators have no announced launch date.

Does this directory provide legal advice?

This is an informational directory. It does not provide legal advice or establish an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your circumstances, contact a qualified attorney or legal aid organization.
